Hi there! Welcome to my happy adventures! Ever since I was a kid I’ve loved visiting new places and having new experiences. When I visited South America 3 years ago, just after receiving a diagnosis of bipolar disorder, this love grew and I now fully believe I’m at my happiest when travelling the world (hence the name!).
Since that trip, I’ve lived and travelled abroad as much as possible and loved every minute of it. Recently, I lived in China teaching English for 9 months before embarking on more travels around the globe. A travel blog was the next natural step in my travel obsessions!
I’m a backpacker at heart and love finding a travel bargain. Whilst I don’t stay in the most glamorous hotels, I see the most amazing things the world has to offer, without breaking the bank. In this blog expect travel stories (successes and fails!), bucket list ideas, budget travel itineraries and money-saving advice.
I’m a lover of all outdoor adventures especially hiking and sailing, so expect lots of stunning photos and trip ideas.
Finally, I believe travelling is completely accessible to everyone and anyone, and can actually provide relief from the many difficulties we face in life. Therefore, the ability to travel with mental health struggles is also something I will discuss.
